Products & Ingredients

Where can I find your Pumpkin Pie Cream Cheese?
Our Pumpkin Pie Cream Cheese will be back for a limited time this fall!

Are your products gluten free?
All of our products, with the exception of our pastas, are gluten free. Our pastas contain wheat flour and are made in a separate facility from the rest of our products.

What are your ingredient standards?
We think carefully about everything we put in our products. We source our almonds from the San Joaquin Valley and do not use any artificial flavors, colors, preservatives, or sweeteners in any of our products. All of our products are non-GMO Project Verified and all, with the exception of our pastas, are Kosher.

Will people with nut allergies be allergic to our foods?
All of our products contain almond milk, so any individuals with an allergy to almonds will not be able to enjoy our products.

Do any of your products contain soy or dairy?
All of our products are soy and dairy free, with the exception of our Greek-style yogurts which contains soy.

Why did you add Soy to your Greek yogurts?
We’ve heard from customers across the country who are seeking more plant-based protein, so we wanted to create a protein-rich Greek yogurt option. After seeing the positive response to our PROTEIN yogurt made with almond and soy, we wanted to bring similar protein benefits to our Greek line. We chose a soy as a protein source because it gives our Greek yogurt the best taste and a thick and creamy texture.

What if I’m allergic to soy?
We’d like to recommend you try any of our Original Yogurts, as they do not contain soy and there are many flavors to choose from.

What about other allergens?
We manage the big nine allergens (milk, soy, egg, wheat, peanuts, tree nuts, fish, shellfish, and sesame) per FALCPA regulations in all of our products. If you have questions about allergens outside the big eight, please email our team via contactus@kite-hill.com.

Do your products contain GMOs?

Do you make any products without sugar?
Yes, we make plain and vanilla unsweetened yogurts with no added sugar. Also, our plain, chive, garden veggie, and everything cream cheeses contain no added sugar.

Using Our Products

How can I substitute Kite Hill products for dairy products in an existing recipe?
Just about any recipe that calls for dairy yogurts, cream cheeses, or ricotta can be made using our almond milk versions. We recommend using the plain unsweetened (in the case of our almond milk yogurt) and plain cream cheese as opposed to the flavored versions when swapping in Kite Hill for the first time. You can substitute these ingredients 1:1 for their dairy counterparts. As all Kite Hill products are made without artificial preservatives, note that anything you make with them should be stored refrigerated and not at room temperature.

How long do your products last once opened?
All of our products are made without artificial preservatives and should be consumed prior to their best-by dates or within seven days of opening, whichever is sooner.

How long does your pasta last? How do I store it?
Our pastas are shipped to stores frozen and, in most cases, thawed when placed on shelf. Retailers should sticker our pastas with 30-day Best By dates when placing them on shelf; we recommend that you use or freeze our pastas by the stickered date. In the absence of a sticker, we recommend using or freezing our pastas within 1-2 weeks of purchase. Frozen pasta is best consumed within 270 days of the production date. You can find this date on the edge of the plastic container as a 5-digit number such as 20315. The first two digits are the year of production, in this case 20 20, and the next three digits are the julian date of production, in this case 315 or November 10th. This item would be best consumed by 315+270-366=219, or August 7th. Please contact us with any questions!
